On Mental Health, Awareness & Feeling Fully Alive

Mental health isn't just about emotions — it's foundational to your physical, spiritual, and relational well-being. At aNew Health, we believe in getting to the root of what’s really going on, not just managing surface-level symptoms.

What Affects Mental Health?

Your mental well-being is connected to:

  • Hormone imbalances

  • Poor sleep

  • Gut health

  • Unprocessed emotions

  • Toxic environments

  • Past trauma

  • Inflammatory foods

  • Nutrient deficiencies

These root contributors often show up silently — but they’re powerful. And the good news is: they're also addressable.

“Let’s turn your awareness into action. Let’s get to the root.”

If you’re feeling off, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Reach out to schedule a consult with our team — whether it’s nutrition support, nervous system regulation, or functional testing. You’re not “too much.” You’re not “crazy.” You’re worthy of healing.

A Moment of Peace

“One day you wake up and you’re in this place.
Your heart is calm. Your soul is lit. Your thoughts are positive.
You’re at peace — with where you’ve been and where you’re going.”

Healing is possible. It might be slow. It might be nonlinear. But it’s happening.

Recipe Spotlight: Blueberry Spinach Salad

You already know we believe food is medicine — and this one’s a fan favorite.

Ingredients:

  • Spinach

  • Fresh blueberries

  • Goat cheese or feta

  • Chopped avocado

  • Sliced almonds or walnuts

  • Optional: grilled chicken or hard-boiled egg

Dressing:

  • Olive oil

  • Apple cider vinegar

  • Dijon mustard

  • Salt & pepper

This one’s packed with nutrients that support brain health, hormone balance, and gut function — all while tasting amazing.

🧠 Pro tip: If your mood’s been off, check your plate. Food is one of the most immediate tools we have for improving mental clarity and emotional resilience.

We See the Kids, Too

Mental health matters at every age — but children don’t always have the words to express how they’re feeling. That’s why we created a calming, playful space for kids at our Grand Forks location, complete with a hand-painted mural by our amazing team.

“Children don’t say, ‘I had a hard day. Can we talk?’ They say, ‘Will you play with me?’”
– L.R. Knost
